Kellar Family

Family sitting in front of brick wallI met up with the Kellar’s on a warm Sunday morning in April in Kingston, and spent some time hanging out with them and their little guy, Emmerson.  I took him a few minutes to warm up to the stranger with the camera, but once he did we had a great time!  Some of the local wildlife even stopped by to have a few pictures taken with Emmerson. :)

Jennifer and Mike’s Kingston Engagement Session

I met up with Jenn and Mike one chilly March afternoon, and we took a nice long walk all over downtown.  There are so many neat spots in downtown Kingston for portraits, and we really only stopped because we were all pretty much freezing.  I think we got some great images, and I’m really looking forward to the warm weather at their wedding this summer!

April and Shawn’s Kingston Engagement Session

The great thing about an engagement session is that you have lots of time to try out different lighting and locations (time isn’t something that there is a lot of on your wedding day), and the engagement portraits can be as different from your wedding portraits as you like.  Case in point – April and Shawn are getting married in August, so there definitely won’t be a foot of snow and sub-zero temperatures!  We had a ton of fun wandering around April’s parents’ farm, and April and Shawn were troopers for staying out in the cold as long as they did!

Lauren and Rob’s Kingston Engagement Session

I had so much fun with Lauren and Rob at their place a few weeks ago!  They wanted their engagement session to reflect their personalities, and as I got to know them better over the course of the afternoon, I really think we captured just how fun these two are.  Rob loves to cook, so we started off by making a delicious tomato sauce from scratch, and then moved on to a bit of relaxing with a beverage and some light reading.  I was the buzzkill who made them go outside so we could take advantage of some really gorgeous light and surroundings.  I can’t wait to see how much fun we have at their wedding this summer!

Michelle and Ryan’s Toronto Engagement Session at Alexander Muir Gardens

I met up with Michelle and Ryan at Alexander Muir Gardens in Toronto last October on an unexpectedly gorgeous day for their engagement session.  Even though it had been calling for overcast skies, we got a beautiful sunset to work with, and the gardens themselves were beautiful too!
